
Henry Warren, Chair of the Board
Henry Warren is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Law Graduate. Initially, his career was in public practice becoming a partner in Deloitte’s, the international chartered accountants and management consultants. In 1987, he joined Devonport Management Limited (DML) as the Finance Director to lead the change in financial management at Devonport Royal Dockyard, from that of a Government department into a successful commercial business. Later, Henry became involved with a portfolio of businesses, both as an investor and non-executive director. He is a Non-executive Director at the University Hospital Plymouth and until July 2018, was the Senior Independent Governor at the University of Plymouth.

Dr Robert Witton, Chief Executive, Director and Board Member
Rob is Director of the Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise, Director of Social Engagement and Community-Based Dentistry at Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, and a consultant in dental public health to Public Health England. He is also a practising qualified dentist. He is responsible for overseeing the running of the Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise and its relationships with its patients, dental health students, staff, clinical colleagues, the NHS, Plymouth University and the community at large.

Professor Chris Tredwin, Director and Board Member
Professor Tredwin is Professor of Restorative Dentistry and a GDC registered specialist in Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He was appointed Head of Plymouth University Peninsula School of Dentistry in June 2012. He says: “I am extremely fortunate to be working with an excellent team of restorative consultants and specialists at Plymouth University Peninsula Dental School. Combining these with an outstanding team of visiting specialists has allowed us to develop extremely strong Certificate, Diploma and Masters programmes in Restorative Dentistry. I am extremely impressed with the high standards that those undertaking the programme are achieving and am proud to be Programme Leader.”

Jane Luker, Director and Board Member
Jane is a Board member, a Consultant in Dental & Maxillofacial Radiology University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Oral and Dental Sciences at the University of Bristol. She became Dental Postgraduate Dean for Health Education Southwest in December 2013, a post she continues part-time. She is also the Deputy Medical Director of the University Hospitals Bristol. Prior to becoming Postgraduate Dental Dean, Jane was Theme Lead for Advanced Care Dentistry and Unit Lead for Oral Disease year 4 and 5. She is Immediate Past President of the British Society of Dental & Maxillofacial Radiology, and a Board member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons, England.

Ewen McColl, Director and Board Member
Ewen obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Edinburgh in 1993, and following House Officer and Senior House Officer positions, joined the British Army as a Dental Officer in 1995. During his military career, he served as Senior Dental Officer in Afghanistan and for two years on Loan Service to The Sultan of Brunei’s Armed Forces.
After six years of General Dental Practice experience in the military, he undertook three years of Specialist Training in Periodontology at The Eastman Dental Hospital in London, passing MClinDent with distinction. Following this, Ewen completed three years of training at Guy’s Dental Hospital in order to become an accredited Restorative Consultant. During this period, he also attended an internship in endodontics at Loma Linda University in California.
Following accreditation as a Restorative Consultant in 2009, he was then employed as a Consultant by the military, taking restorative referrals from military General Dental Practitioners. Ewen took up his current position at Peninsula Dental School in September 2012, where he is the Director of Clinical Dentistry.
His major interests are in implant dentistry, and all aspects of surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy.

Sally Crabb, Director and Board Member
Sally is the Head of Financial Accounting and Operations at the University of Plymouth and has over 20 years accountancy experience in the commercial and higher education sectors. Sally is the Company Secretary for the University subsidiary companies and holds professional qualifications to include FCCA and ACG.

Nathan Findlay, Chief Operating Officer, Director and Board Member
Nathan is Chief Operating Officer with oversight of the day to day operation of PDSE. He has been with the organisation for three years with a background in corporate dentistry and healthcare management. Nathan is a member of Chartered Management Institute and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Mary Evans, Finance and Business Manager
Mary joined PDSE in December 2014 as a Management Accountant with responsibility for the Finance function, having previously worked as a Finance Business Partner at the Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry and a Project & Planning Accountant at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. Prior to this, Mary worked in various roles in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries. In August 2017, Mary’s role expanded to include responsibility for the Human Resources function. Mary is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Rebecca Anderson, Clinical Governance and Operations Manager
Rebecca joined PDSE in October 2015 with a background in healthcare and most recently, Dentistry as a qualified registered Dental Nurse. Since joining, Rebecca has had a variety of roles, including being the Clinic Team Leader in Derriford DEF, the Clinic Manager of the four dental education facilities, and now ensuring Governance and Compliance throughout the Operational side of PDSE.

Aimee Matthews, Clinic Manager
Aimee joined PDSE in July 2018 and has a strong background in dentistry. After qualifying as a Dental Nurse in the Royal Navy, she progressed onto practice management and operations management within NHS-centred practices. Aimee is now the Clinic Manager of the four dental education facilities, and travels between the sites to offer support and guidance to our Clinic Team Leaders and to maintain compliance in all clinical aspects of PDSE.
Christine Bedford, Clinic Liaison and Planning Manager
Christine Bedford is the Clinic Liaison and Planning Manager. Christine is a qualified registered Dental Nurse who has spent many years assisting with the treatment for children and nervous adults. Her role is to produce the clinic timetables for students, plan events in the Dental Education Facilities, and ensure the facilities are safe for the students, staff and the patients. Christine often travels around the Peninsula to have face-to-face contact with the staff and students in the four Dental Education Facilities.
