Sustainability Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Coordinator to join us on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months initially.

This role will be for 3 – 5 days per week, with the exact hours agreed upon appointment.

This role will be based from our Plymouth sites but there may be the opportunity for some remote working. Some travel may be required across Devon and Cornwall to support on various projects in line with our Sustainability strategy (travel expenses paid).

As the Sustainability Coordinator, you will lead on projects to support our aim to become net zero by 2040. You will have a flexible and adaptive working approach to developing solutions to reduce environmental impact, addressing associated challenges, and motivating others to engage and support our sustainability strategy. You will take the lead role on a variety of projects and initiatives to improve our carbon footprint across all areas of the business. In addition, you will work with staff across all areas of the business, encouraging others to share recommendations for reducing our carbon footprint, and embedding a culture of improving sustainability throughout the organisation.

Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE) is an award-winning Community Interest Company that provides NHS treatment and outreach services to local communities in Devon and Cornwall. As a social enterprise we are a values driven organisation with a focus on patient-centred care and addressing local oral health needs. We work closely with the University of Plymouth’s Peninsula Dental School to support the clinical education of its dental healthcare students.

This role includes:

• A salary range of £30,174 – £33,969 (pro rata dependent on working hours)
