Following graduation Guy completed Vocational Training and General Professional Training in Essex before returning to the London Hospital as a House Officer and then Senior House Officer in the Restorative and Oral Medicine Departments. He undertook further postgraduate training at The Eastman Dental Hospital while working part time on Wimpole Street. He gained his MClinDent with distinction in 2003 and his MRD in 2004, becoming a Specialist in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. He worked in a specialist private practice in Suffolk for more than a decade, during which period he also worked part time as an Expert Witness for dento-legal cases and as a Clinical Lecturer and later Senior Clinical lecturer at the London Hospital. Guy has more than two decades of experience as an educationalist at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, with specific interests in curriculum development and assessment among his other roles. He is an active member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, Glasgow and Edinburgh and has been an examiner for the BDS, IQE, ORE, LDS and MRD. He has published more than 10 articles and a chapter in a book relating to topics including endodontics, prosthodontics, teaching and care pathway planning.
In his spare time he enjoys Kayaking, DIY and reading
