Deputy Clinical Lead
Following graduation from Guy’s Hospital Ben completed his foundation training in Devon and went on to work as a general dentist in Exeter whilst working in Torbay hospital in the Restorative Dentistry Department mostly treating complex head and neck cancer patients. During this time Ben completed a Diploma in postgraduate dental studies at Bristol University whilst running a busy dental practice in Exeter and providing dental nurse training programmes. He mentored graduates at his practice for over 15 years as a trainer for foundation dentists. In 2022 Ben came to the university as a supervisor and now deputy clinical lead for Derriford, managing the student’s learning on clinic alongside a hard-working support team of dental receptionists, nurses and supervisors.
