Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC (PDSE) supports the National Apprenticeship programme.

Please see Ineta’s comment below.

“I chose this apprenticeship in dentistry when I came across an opportunity with Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise on the Exeter college website. I had been interested in Dental Nursing for a few years now and I had applied for NEBDN before but I struggled to find a placement at that time due to living in a small town. When I saw there was an opportunity to complete a dental nursing course with Exeter college and PDSE, I went through the usual recruitment process. My interview at PDSE went well and I enjoyed getting to know the way things work here and it seemed like a great opportunity so I was really excited when offered the role.

I am now around 5 months into my apprenticeship and I feel it’s going well. I feel a lot more confident than I was at the start and I have learnt so many new things. I still have a while left until I finish the course and lots more to learn which I am excited about. The nurses I work with at PDSE and staff from Exeter college have been very supportive and added to the experience which is nice. I also really enjoy the balance of learning and practical training which is provided by the apprenticeship”.
