Andrew Sleigh
Director of Clinical Dentistry
Andrew serves as Director of Clinical Dentistry at Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE). In this capacity, Andrew is responsible for overseeing the clinical services provided by PDSE, which include the undergraduate clinics where both Dental students and Hygiene Therapy students provide dental treatment under the close supervision of qualified dental professionals.
Andrew qualified from University of Leeds in 2001 and spent his career prior to joining PDSE working in general dental practice. During this time, Andrew completed extensive post-graduate clinical training and gained an MBA with distinction. Andrew is also a Fellow of the College of General Dental Practice.
Andrew’s career in general practice has given him experience of a wide range of clinical scenarios. This has been particularly valuable in helping to ensure that student led clinical maintain the highest standards of patient care and provide excellent learning opportunities for students.
